Data Protection Declaration
In the context of using this website, personal data of yours will be processed by us as the controller responsible for data processing and stored for the duration required to fulfill the specified purposes and legal obligations. Below, we inform you about which data is involved, the manner in which it is processed, and your rights in this regard.
According to Art. 4 No. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

2. Processing of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing
You can access our website without having to reveal information regarding your identity. The browser used on your device merely sends information automatically to our website’s server (e.g., browser type and version, date and time of access) to enable a connection to the website. This also includes the IP address of your requesting device. This is stored temporarily in a so-called log file and is automatically deleted after 4 days.
The processing of the IP address is carried out for technical and administrative purposes of connection establishment and stability, to guarantee the security and functionality of our website, and, if necessary, to be able to prosecute any illegal attacks on it.
The legal basis for processing the IP address is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the aforementioned security interest and the necessity of providing our website without disruption.
We cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity from the processing of the IP address and other information in the log file.
Furthermore, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website.
3. Disclosure of Personal Data
If we pass on personal data collected via the website to processors, we inform you about this in this data protection information within the respective data processing operation, naming the specific recipient.
Otherwise, we only disclose your personal data if:

This is necessary according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for the fulfillment of a contract with you (for example, disclosure to shipping companies for the purpose of delivering goods ordered by you or disclosure of payment data to payment service providers or credit institutions to carry out a payment transaction);

The data disclosed may be used by the recipients exclusively for the stated purposes. If personal data is transferred to a third country (outside the EU) or an international organization, this will be indicated separately.
4. Web Analysis using Statify
We use the statistics plugin Statify on our website. This plugin serves to analyze the usage behavior of visitors to our website in order to continuously optimize our online offer and our web presence. Statify is developed by the Pluginkollektiv community and represents a particularly privacy-friendly solution.
In contrast to other analysis tools, Statify does not use cookies and does not store personal data. Only aggregated information about page views, referring pages, and target pages is recorded. Identification of individual users is not possible. The recorded data is stored exclusively on our own web server and is not passed on to third parties.
Data will not be merged with other data sources or passed on to external service providers.
Data processing is based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR in the statistical evaluation of user behavior and the optimization of our online offer and our website. Since Statify does not collect personal data and does not set cookies, no opt-out is required.

5. Social Media Plugins
We use the WordPress plugin WP LinkedIn Auto Publish on our website. This plugin serves exclusively to automatically publish posts, pages, or custom post types from our website to a LinkedIn profile or LinkedIn company page.
When using this function, no connection is established between the visit to our website by a user and LinkedIn unless a social button is clicked. There is no active tracking of users by LinkedIn when loading our page.
The connection is made via the official LinkedIn API, not via embedded scripts or IFrames, and no LinkedIn cookies are set by third parties when visiting our website.
Within the scope of this function, data processing is carried out exclusively for the automatic publication of our content. No personal data of visitors is transmitted to LinkedIn for marketing or retargeting purposes. For further information on data processing by LinkedIn, we refer you to the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
We use the following social media plugins:
a) LinkedIn: Sharing by LinkedIn Corporation
In some cases, information is transmitted to the parent company, LinkedIn Corporation, based in the USA. This company observes the data protection provisions of the “US Privacy Shield” and is registered with the “US Privacy Shield” program of the US Department of Commerce. 6. Google Maps
A map service from Google Ireland Limited (“Google”) is generally intended for the improved presentation of geographical information on our website. For data protection reasons, however, Google Maps is not automatically loaded when the page is called up.
Instead, a notice is initially displayed in place of the map. Only when you actively click on the button displayed there (“Load map”) is your consent for data processing granted and the map loaded.
Only with this click are data transmitted to Google and, if applicable, cookies set by Google. The processed data includes, in particular:
Your IP address
Technical information about your browser and device
Location and usage data, if applicable
This data may also be transmitted by Google to servers in the USA. The legal basis for the integration of the map is your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, the map will not be loaded and no data transfer to Google will take place.

7. Data Subject Rights
You have the right:
According to Art. 7 (3) GDPR, to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent for the future;
According to Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
According to Art. 16 GDPR, to request the immediate rectification of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us;
According to Art. 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
According to Art. 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose its erasure and we no longer need the data but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing according to Art. 21 GDPR;
According to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another controller; and
According to Art. 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our association’s registered office for this purpose.
8. Information about your Right to Object according to Art. 21 GDPR
You have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) lit. e GDPR (data processing in the public interest) and Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (data processing based on a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Article 4 No. 4 GDPR.
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
If your objection is directed against the processing of data for the purpose of direct marketing, we will cease processing immediately. In this case, stating a particular situation is not required. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing.

9. Data Security
All data transmitted by you personally will be transmitted in encrypted form using the generally common and secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard. TLS is a secure and proven standard that is also used, for example, in online banking. You can recognize a secure TLS connection by, among other things, the “s” appended to “http” (i.e., https://..) in the address bar of your browser or by the padlock symbol in the lower area of your browser.
Furthermore, we use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
